| The photos below were sent along to us by Tom Rosenblad from Tonsberg, Norway. The Rosenblads were typical of young families living at Gander Airport in renovated military buildings. Tom was more than happy to find out that "once a Ganderite - always a Ganderite"! | |||

lived in the remodelled US Post Office building on the corner of Chestnut Road at Roosevelt Street from 1946-1950. |
Tom's mom,
Berit, was a full time wife and mother. She also enjoyed day trips by train to near by towns with her friend Susan. |
Tom's father, Leif worked has a radio technician with Scandanavian Airlines. |
